Green House Senior Living L.L.C. is the first nursing home in Indiana to be licensed to construct "small house" homes for providing skilled nursing care. Green House Cottages of Carmel is the first Green House project location in Indiana and we are proud to offer our elders short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care in an environment that welcomes them right at home. We have six cottages that house twelve private bedrooms. Each home includes a family-style hearth with an open kitchen and dining area. Each cottage is staffed by a skilled care team of universal workers: highly qualified Certified Nursing Assistants, licensed nursing staff, social workers, therapists, physicians, activity coordinators, and dieticians. The teams of CNAs are self-managed and trained in household management. Meals are prepared fresh at every meal time, and accommodate each elder’s individual meal plan and requests. While these care partners provide around-the-clock personal care and manage the home, a clinical support team of nurses is available and accessible 24/7. All of our team members are industry certified and receive over 150 hours of additional training concentrated on the Green House fundamentals of care and best practices. Unlike many long-term care facilities, there is not a predetermined routine each day. The goal in each home is to facilitate each elders’ independence and ability to pursue their unique interests no matter their physical abilities. This is accomplished through our individualized therapy plans that are created according to each elder’s needs in a home-like environment to simulate their own environment. Our rehabilitation services center on gaining strength, balance, and elevating activity level. Our goal through rehabilitation is to return an elder’s level of functionality to their previous capabilities or more so. To achieve each elder’s fullest potential; we offer physical, occupational and speech/language therapies. Our memory care takes a deliberate, person-centered, strength-based approach to care. Our compassionate staff members are committed to improving the lives of those living with dementia/Alzheimer’s. Our team is dedicated to creating a sense of stability and consistency for our elders to achieve normalcy in each elder’s day-to-day life. Long-term care is designed for those who cannot meet their medical and/or non-medical needs on their own but want to live a purposeful and meaningful life. We encourage elders' daily choices while fostering a safe and inviting environment to live and recover.

Green House Cottages of Carmel celebrates a unique approach to skilled nursing in a custom cottage that feels like a real home. In our custom designed cottages, each of our elders has their own private suite that has an independent climate control and an attached private bathroom. Each elder may bring in their own furniture and bed if they so desire to. Each cottage has a den, spa and salon, a fully equipped rehab therapy center, open kitchen and dining concept where home-cooked meals are made fresh and served at every meal, and outdoor areas where elders can enjoy the fresh air and comfortable seating areas.
